Over the last five years, grants of over £500,000 has been awarded, directly and indirectly, to families of all three services, both serving and retired. Most service children are happy, resilient and successful, and thrive on the opportunities that service life brings. Others, however, can be disadvantaged by a lack of stability in mainstream education and by some of the challenges of service life. For these young people, The Trust may be able to assist with education related fees that parents would not otherwise be able to afford and help young people over particular hurdles that are preventing them from achieving their educational potential. The Trust also helps these children collectively through grants to schools.
